The only excuse for not having it is being below level 7 or it's a tank who doesn't do much swinging (and doesn't belong in certain fights). 2-4 of those hits kill you?Įach bro can swing twice? Berserk is one of the best perks for most enemies. The nightmares hit for like 10-15 damage. Now people are whining because suddenly a new challenge kicks their butt, i guess. The new mechanic is i agree also unbalance but hey, i cant cheese it anymore which is probably what the developers wanted since this game is suposed to be "hard". On the other hand of the spectrum, i managed to rekt 8 alps, taking no damage whit only my sergent/standart bearer because he has 158 resolve whit fortified mind and the sash. If your party had poor resolve and was either small or early, you would get absolutely busted if you didnt know exactly how to counter the basterds.

Overall i kinda agree whit you that the previous mechanic was maybe more balanced in some areas but in others was ridiculous. Spears and to a lesser extent swords, pikes and other such weapons whit bonus to hit have worked up pretty nicely for me, also i would advise having your nimble archers or your tanky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the front of the blob as they will perform better, also rotate the guys that have taken a beating inside the blob. Also i would advise simply striping your guys as the nighmares always hit and the initiative is quite good. But yeah i have to say that now the counterplays are different as instead of having to spread your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2 appart, you have to stick em in a nice big ol blob as you actually reduce the amount of nighmares that can attack u at once. Lots of comments like yours but about the previous mechanic saying tis ♥♥♥♥♥ broken (im not trying to say your comment is unfounded or dumb, its litteraly just the reason why they changed it). I thought it was balanced, I have no clue why they changed it. Am I understanding this correctly? I definately preferred the previous sleep mechanics.

So if you miss 2-4 swings during the whole fight you lose. So Alps summon two nightmares per turn, they can summon an infinite amount each (at least 6 per Alp which i've confirmed).
